Team History

We first learned of Pedal the Cause in 2016, when a colleague was fighting cancer and a team was established in his name and we joined their team. 

We've collectively lost scores of friends or family members to cancer, and have hundreds that have battled cancer or are currently in the fight.  After a few years of involvement, we saw the potential to raise more awareness and participation by starting a new team, and that's how the Premier Warriors was born!

Why Donate to PTC? 

We believe that Pedal the Cause is the best place to make donations for cancer research in St. Louis.   Learning that 100% of the contributions to Pedal the Cause are used to FUND ANTI-CANCER research IN ST. LOUIS is inspiriting.    Unlike other charities that take a large percentage of donations for administrative, marketing and additional fundraising costs.  Other charities devote their proceeds to research throughout the country, Pedal the Cause works entirely with BJC, Siteman Cancer and St. Louis Children's Hospital, so that research and trials for new treatments are being performed here, not elsewhere.   So every dollar donated goes to help fight cancer and benefits St. Louis medical research.  This puts potential treatments and cures in the hands of local doctors more quickly, and helps St. Louis to be come a haven for those doing their utmost to extend their lives.

Mission

"The mission of Pedal the CauseSM  is to provide critical funding for cancer research at Siteman Cancer Center and Siteman Kids at St. Louis Children’s Hospital through our annual cycling challenge. It is our hope that research funded by Pedal the Cause will ultimately lead to a cure for cancer."
