Forest Park Southeast Neighborhood has been taken over by what has become a very popular destination place in the heart of the neighborhood known as the Grove. Local residents are quick to point out that they live in Forest Park Southeast. This neighborhood has all the makings of a great urban neighborhood, and after years of blight, this is exactly what's been happening! Located between Interstate 64 (highway 40) and Interstate 44, Vandeventer Blvd and Kingshighway Boulevard, this smaller sized neighborhood is split down the middle by Manchester Ave. (now the Grove) with commercial businesses on all sides, and the massive BJC / Washington University Medical Campus (with Shriners Hospital and St. Louis College of Pharmacy too) to the north of Highway 40, and Forest Park to the North West (thus the name).
Forest Park Southeast is extremely walkable and is very popular, with more excitement building all the time! As home values are rising here, many of the less redeveloped areas in the neighborhood are catching up with several new construction projects and historic rennovations, the Chris & Lisa Grus Team specialty 😃.
