The Hill - St. Louis

This gained nationwide popularity due to the celebrities raised here, and the number of incredible Italian restaurants, markets, and deli's.  

The neighborhood is one of the top destinations of area tourists.  People visiting from out of town ask, "is the Hill in St. Louis a good place to live?"  The neighborhood is extremely popular, and often times there aren't enough homes to go around.  The Hill is similar to a few other neighborhoods in St. Louis in that it is tight-knit, incredibly walkable, with shops, restaurants, parks churches and other businesses nearby.   In recent years, the Piazza Imo was built in what had been a vacant lot.  

The neighborhood was established around the turn of the 20th century, so the median sale price is around $175,000, although many of the small 'shotgun' style homes on small lots are being purchased and repurposed for newer homes.
