Steinberg Skating Rink

 

The Steinberg Skating Rink is a nice break during the cold, bleak winter months in St. Louis. The rink opened in 1957 after a generous donation by the Steinberg Charitable Trust. The rink is picturesque with the woods of Forest Park on one side and the Central West End skyline. In the early 2000's the rink went under renovations that replaced the north parking lot with a wetlands river area with a walking path and birdwatching area near the lake.
