The Boathouse

The Boathouse. located in Forest Park, is a unique restaurant/ boat rental facility. Boating has been an activity in Forest Park since it's opening in 1876 and in 1894, the St. Louis Post Dispatch paid for the expansion of one of the lakes in the park and in the early 2000's a new boathouse was built which opened access to both the Post Dispatch Lake and the Grand Basin at the foot of Art Hill. Today, you can rent paddle boats at The Boathouse before or after you enjoy a meal at the restaurant.
