The Carondelet Family YMCA was organized in 1919 and untilized a facility that was built in 1925. This facility featured a gynasium, meeting rooms, lounge, swimming pool, locker rooms, and a small bowling alley. In 2009, The City of St. Louis Department of Parks Recreation and Forestry and the YMCA of Greater St. Louis opened a new Carondelet Rec Complex with updates that was greatly needed.
