Lakewood is a neighborhood in Affton off Heege Rd, close to Gravois.Oakland House lakewood

 Named for the Lakewood Inn that existed at Heege Rd. and Fleta ave. in the 1920's, it has two access points to the River Des Peres Greenway Trail.   Homes were mostly built between the 1930's and 1950's.   The neighborhood is located on what once was known as the Benoist Farm, and the Historic Oakland House, a part of the original Benoist Farm still is located in Lakewood.
