Saint Louis Hills bicycle race

Francis Park hosts the second leg of the annual  Gateway Cup, which is a professional cycling race held in St. Louis. The wide streets surrounding the rectangular park makes the park a perfect site for the race. The park also offers a great spot for spectators to watch the race from the grassy areas within the park.

1.3-mile rectangle bounded by Nottingham, Eichelberger, Tamm Ave Tour de Francis bike and Donovan Avenue. From Hwy 40 or Hwy 44 take Hampton Avenue south. Right on Nottingham. 

The racing begins at 11am with the mens professionals wrapping things up starting at 5:30pm.   There are kids races, juniors, masters all the way up to the pros.

Delicious food and cold beverages are served for the events until 6:00PM. 

The Gateway Cup is one of the great features of living in the City, and is an exciting event to watch or even to participate in.
